LOWER converts all letters to lowercase — handy when comparing emails or usernames typed inconsistently.

Syntax

=LOWER(text)
Argument What it means
text Text to convert.

Examples

Example 1

=LOWER(A2)=LOWER(B2)

Compare two emails ignoring case (a plain = already ignores case, but this makes intent clear).
