Before you write

My formula shows #NAME? — is the article wrong?

Usually the function is newer than your Excel (XLOOKUP, FILTER, TEXTJOIN…). Check the version note in the article, or use the INDEX-MATCH alternative shown there.

The macro gives run-time error 1004

Read 7 causes of error 1004 first — it solves most cases. If not, send the line that is highlighted in yellow when you click Debug.
