DELTA returns 1 if two numbers are equal and 0 otherwise — easy to SUM for a count of matches.

Syntax

=DELTA(number1, [number2])
Argument What it means
number2 Default 0.

Examples

Example 1

=SUMPRODUCT(--(B2:B100=C2:C100))

The modern way; DELTA(B2,C2) filled down does the same row by row.
