CUMIPMT totals the interest paid between two payment numbers — e.g. for one financial year. CUMPRINC does the same for principal.

Syntax

=CUMIPMT(rate, nper, pv, start_period, end_period, type)
Argument What it means
type 0 = payments at month end (usual for loans).

Examples

Example 1

=-CUMIPMT(8.5%/12, 240, 3000000, 1, 12, 0)

Interest in the first 12 EMIs.
