AVERAGEIF averages values that meet one condition — often used to ignore zeros.

Syntax

=AVERAGEIF(range, criteria, [average_range])
Argument What it means
average_range Cells to average (defaults to range).

Examples

Example 1

=AVERAGEIF(C2:C31, ">0")

Average daily sales ignoring closed days.

Example 2

=AVERAGEIF(B:B, "North", E:E)

Average North order.
