Dynamic ArrayLevel: IntermediateAvailable in: Excel 365 / 2021+

RANDARRAY returns an array of random numbers, optionally whole numbers between limits — instant test data.

Syntax

=RANDARRAY([rows], [columns], [min], [max], [whole_number])

Examples

Example 1

=RANDARRAY(100, 1, 1000, 50000, TRUE)

100 random amounts.

Example 2

=SORTBY(A2:A50, RANDARRAY(49))

Shuffle a list, e.g. for a random draw.
