Forms are the easiest way to collect information from staff or customers. This flow puts every response in a proper Excel table and tells the team in Teams.

Build it

  1. Trigger When a new response is submitted (choose your form).
  2. Get response details (same form, Response Id from the trigger).
  3. Add a row into a table: map each answer to its column, plus Submitted time and Responder.
  4. Post message in a chat or channel with the key answers.
💡 Forms can already save responses to Excel for Business, but a flow lets you add calculated columns, route to different tables, and notify people, which the built-in link can’t.

File uploads

Forms stores uploaded files in the form owner’s OneDrive; the response contains a JSON link. Use Parse JSON on that answer to get the file path, then copy the file to a team folder.

Where people go wrong

Problem Fix
Columns mismatched after editing the form Update the mapping when questions change
Teams message too long Post a summary and a link to the row

Practice

Build the Forms-to-Excel flow with your own short form.
