Day Book What was entered today / in a period
Ledger All entries for one account with running balance
Trial Balance Every ledger balance; debits = credits
Profit & Loss Income vs expenses for the period
Balance Sheet Assets, liabilities, capital on a date
Bills Receivable / Payable Outstanding invoices with ageing

Useful keys

Alt+F2 change period; Ctrl+B basis of values; F12 configure (show ageing, details); Alt+E export to Excel/PDF; Alt+P print.

💡 Export outstanding and sales registers to Excel monthly and build the analysis there (ageing buckets, customer trends). See the Excel for Finance course for ready layouts.

More: export Tally data to Excel.

Menus follow TallyPrime (current versions); older Tally ERP 9 menus differ. GST rates and rules shown are examples; confirm current rules before filing.

Practice
