RANK.AVG works like RANK.EQ, but tied values get the average rank (2.5 and 2.5 instead of 2 and 2). Useful for statistics; confusing on a leaderboard.

Syntax

=RANK.AVG(number, ref, [order])
Argument What it means
order 0 or omitted = largest is 1; 1 = smallest is 1.

Examples

Example 1

=RANK.AVG(C2, $C$2:$C$50)

Rank of a score with ties averaged.
