Math Level: Beginner Available in: Excel 2007+

Syntax
=ROUND(number, num_digits)
Argument
What it means
numberThe value to round.
num_digits2 = paise, 0 = whole rupees, −2 = nearest hundred, −3 = nearest thousand.
Examples
Example 1
=ROUND(1234.567, 2)1234.57
Example 2
=ROUND(1234.567, 0)1235
Example 3
=ROUND(1234.567, -2)1200 — useful for budget figures.
💡 Formatting a cell to show 2 decimals only hides digits; the full value is still used in totals. Round line items with ROUND so the invoice total matches the lines.
