Most SAP list reports (FBL3N, ME2N, VA05 and many more) show results in an ALV grid. Instead of rearranging columns every time, save a layout.
- Run the report. Click the Change Layout button (or Ctrl+F8).
- In the Column Set, move the fields you need to the displayed list; remove the rest.
- On the Sort Order tab set sorting and tick Subtotal for the fields that should break into groups (e.g. vendor).
- Apply, then use the Σ button on an amount column for totals.
- Save Layout (Ctrl+F12 in many reports). Give it a name, a description, and tick Default setting if it should load automatically.
Next time, pick it from Select Layout (Ctrl+F9) — or it loads by itself if it is your default.
💡 User-specific layouts are only for you. Layouts saved without “user-specific” (if your authorisation allows) are shared with everyone who runs the report.
Combine a saved layout with a selection variant and the report becomes perfect for automated exports.
