CUMPRINC totals the principal part of loan payments between two periods — how much of the loan you actually cleared this year.

Syntax

=CUMPRINC(rate, nper, pv, start_period, end_period, type)
Argument What it means
type 0 = payment at end of period.

Examples

=-CUMPRINC(8.5%/12, 240, 3000000, 1, 12, 0)

About ₹59,700 of a ₹30 lakh home loan repaid in year one — against roughly ₹2.53 lakh of interest.
