IFS checks conditions in order and returns the value for the first TRUE one — cleaner than nesting IF inside IF.
Syntax
=IFS(test1, value1, [test2, value2], ...)
| Argument |
What it means |
test1, value1 |
First condition and its result. |
Examples
Example 1
=IFS(C2>=85,"A", C2>=70,"B", C2>=55,"C", C2>=40,"D", TRUE,"F")
Grades; TRUE at the end acts as “otherwise”.
Common errors and fixes
| You see |
Why, and the fix |
#N/A |
