LogicalLevel: ExpertAvailable in: Excel 365 / 2021+

LAMBDA turns a formula into a reusable custom function. Save it in Name Manager and use it like any built-in function — no VBA.

Syntax

=LAMBDA([parameter1, ...], calculation)

Examples

Example 1

=LAMBDA(amt, rate, amt*(1+rate))(1000, 18%)

Test a lambda directly in a cell: 1180.

Example 2

Name: GSTINCL  Refers to: =LAMBDA(amt, rate, ROUND(amt*(1+rate), 2))

Then use =GSTINCL(B2, 18%) anywhere in the workbook.
