QUOTIENT returns only the integer part of a division; MOD returns the remainder.

Syntax

=QUOTIENT(numerator, denominator)
Argument What it means
numerator, denominator Numbers.

Examples

Example 1

=QUOTIENT(B2, 12)&" boxes + "&MOD(B2, 12)&" loose"

150 items → 12 boxes + 6 loose.

Example 2

=QUOTIENT(A2, 60)&"h "&MOD(A2, 60)&"m"
