NOT flips TRUE to FALSE and back — useful for “everything except” conditions.

Syntax

=NOT(logical)
Argument What it means
logical A TRUE/FALSE value or test.

Examples

Example 1

=NOT(ISBLANK(C2))

TRUE when C2 has something.

Example 2

=IF(NOT(OR(B2="Delhi",B2="Mumbai")), "Non-metro", "Metro")

Everything except the listed cities.
