T.INV.2T returns the t value for a two-tailed test — the multiplier for a confidence interval on a small sample.

Syntax

=T.INV.2T(probability, deg_freedom)
Argument What it means
probability 0.05 for 95% confidence.

Examples

Example 1

=T.INV.2T(0.05, 29)

About 2.045 for a sample of 30 (vs 1.96 for the normal curve).
